Renewal of Passports

REQUIREMENTS

1. An applicant is required to complete an online application (use online services on website)
2. Submit the application and book appointment online
3. A copy of the application must be submitted in-person to the High Commission or Consulate on the applicant’s appointment day selected
4. The form must be submitted together with ALL VALID AND MANDATORY documents listed on the application form and under passport requirements (please refer)
5. Mode of payment – Electronic

NB: A passport application WITNESS must not be a family member. He/She must endorse the application form by signing and stamp the form with their appropriate official stamp.

Applying for passport for the first time

REQUIREMENTS

3. A copy of the application must be submitted in-person to the High Commission or Consulate on the applicant’s appointment day selected
4. Birth Certificate (both original and photocopy)
5. Copy of parent’s Ghana passport
6. The form must be submitted together with ALL VALID AND MANDATORY documents listed on the application form and under passport requirements (please refer)
7. Mode of payment – Electronic

MISSING / STOLEN / DAMAGED PASSPORTS

The loss of the passport must be reported to the local police. Please obtain a police report and submit it together with copies of the missing Passport or your birth certificate when applying for a new passport.

1. Processing fee to be paid
2. Submit the application and book appointment online
3. Original Police Report indicating loss of passport
4. Copies of the missing passport or Birth Certificate(both original and photocopy).
5. Completed declaration forms one of which should be notarized.
6. Photo Identity Card(colour copy).
7. Processing Period could take up to 8 weeks from the date of receipt of application.
